Overage Billing

When you exceed your plan's included monthly minutes, overage charges apply automatically (except on the Free plan).

How It Works

  1. Your plan includes a set number of processing minutes per month
  2. When you exceed that limit, additional usage is billed at your plan's overage rate
  3. Overage charges are added to your next invoice

Example

If you are on the Pro plan and process 6,200 minutes in a month:

  • Included: 5,000 minutes (covered by $49 base price)
  • Overage: 1,200 minutes at $0.01/min = $12.00
  • Total invoice: $61.00

Monitoring Usage

Check your current usage via the API:

Overage Alerts

AudioSpliter sends email alerts when you reach:

  • 80% of your included minutes
  • 100% of your included minutes (overage begins)
  • 150% of your included minutes

Free Plan Behavior

The Free plan does not support overage. When you reach 60 minutes, subsequent job creation requests return 402 Payment Required until the next billing period or until you upgrade.

Capping Overage

To prevent unexpected charges, you can set a monthly spending cap in the dashboard under Billing > Spending Limits. When the cap is reached, new jobs are rejected with 402 Payment Required.
